how it works

The records underneath.
The tools on top.

A platform shaped around your operation, built in stages when the scope and benefit justify it.

A shared foundation

Structure organizes the records your business needs and the connections between them. We assess which existing systems can feed it and through which supported routes.

02

Tools for each role

The people doing the work get interfaces shaped to their tasks. Different workflows can use the same underlying records.

03

AI grounded in your records

An assistant makes those records easier to ask questions of, with the information behind an answer available for checking.

terms that are clear

Your data.
Agreed ownership.

You own your data. The contract defines the platform rights.

Ownership and licensing terms are set for the engagement, including a client-owned option. Underlay does not charge per-seat licenses for the platform; retained third-party software, infrastructure and model services can still carry costs.

Deployment choices, data access, documentation and handover responsibilities are agreed in the scope.

built in stages

Scope before
commitment.

Start with the workflow and the evidence for changing it.

A larger build is scope-dependent, roughly 12 to 18 months for a mid-sized operation. It is planned around usable stages, checks and an agreed handover.

If your current tools already meet the need, a full platform may not be the right next step. If the same gaps keep showing up across the business, the first workflow gives us something concrete to build on.
